March 24 Annual Event will be the largest ever!
The 7th Annual KJLH Women’s Health
Forum-Plus Moves to
L.A. Convention Center

Healthcare is big business, and often too
expensive for too many women. That’s why, for
the past seven years, the women of KJLH have
hosted the KJLH Women’s Health Forum to bring
free health information and services to
audiences so large, they were bursting at the
seams. This year, organizers moved to the Los
Angeles Convention Center, Saturday March 24
from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m..
“We are excited about the bigger and better
location and program, so we added to the name –
KJLH Women’s Health Forum- Plus,”
said Jacquie Stephens, News and Public Affairs
director who spear heads the event. “Last year,
upwards of 2000 attendees flocked to the Forum
and there was barely enough space for our
exhibitors and sponsors. We decided to make a
change,” she said.
“We are so much more than a forum,” said
Lauretta Roberts, who works tirelessly on the
event. “We have started a movement for women to
gauge their progress toward good health. For
many, this is the only way they can get an
annual check up.” Attendees are encouraged to
wear workout clothes to take advantage of the
many exercise, yoga and other sessions. There
will be two panel discussions with health
experts, on Stephens popular “L.A. Speaks Out”
radio program featuring a special extended live
broadcast on Forum day. In addition to the
health expo with scores of exhibitors, there
will be screenings, demonstrations and new this
year--movies in the plush Convention
Center Theater.

KJLH (102.3 FM) is a beloved station in the
community due, in part, to its long track record
of public service as well as its ownership by
the popular Stevie Wonder. The effort to host
the forum is largely a volunteer effort. Art
for the annual program features the unmistakable
style of Cidnee Wallace. Lucky attendees will
receive gift baskets and giveaways.
